Our story

How it started

Anna laughs with her eyes squeezed shut behind their joined hands, her engagement ring showing, while Joboy grins at the camera against a lavender backdrop.

We met as officemates at HaelthTech, a small startup in Alabang, two friends in the same barkada sharing lunches and deadlines. When we moved on to different jobs, the friendship stayed. Then the pandemic slowed the world down, and our late-night chats got longer. When the world opened up again, so did we: one coffee turned into many, and somewhere along the way, friends became more.

Joboy still insists Anna had a crush on him first. (She didn't. Please don't bring it up.)

On top of Mt. Moiwa in Sapporo, under the Bell of Happiness, he asked. It was livestreamed on the mountain's official YouTube channel. She said yes.draft
